3 brand new events, in 3 countries in 3 weeks; Media 10 kick off the year with a hat-trick of successful shows!

100% Optical

We kicked off the hat-trick of new shows with 100% Optical which took place on 16-18 February at London's Excel. Attracting 5,483 visitors (audit pending) the event attracted opticians, optometrists, buyers and industry professionals and over 250 buyers from stores including; Harvey Nichols, Leightons Opticians, Specsavers and Vision Express. The press, visitor and exhibitor feedback was overwhelming and a significant proportion of exhibitors had already rebooked their space for 2015 alongside some new companies by the last day of the show.

Destination Star Trek Germany

Three days later, Destination Star Trek touched down in Frankfurt, Germany, on Friday 21st February kicking off a weekend filled with stars, parties, fans, friendship, autographs, all manner of Trek-centric product and, of course, tons of love for the venerable franchise. StarTrek.com was on hand pre-opening to get the lay of the land and for a press event in which nearly all of the Trek guests' posed for photos and took questions. Over 12,000 visitors attended the fan-based event along with a star-studded Star Trek cast including William Shatner, Karl Urban, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, LeVar Burton and Michael Dorn to name just a few.

Design Shanghai

Finally on 28th March, thousands of visitors literally stormed through the doors of the Shanghai Exhibition Centre for Design Shanghai, our first dip in the oriental exhibition waters. The event was a storming success with press quoting that compared to other exhibitions, the event was "extremely well-advertised to the Shanghai public" and that the queues were "astronomically long." The event could be set to become one of Media 10's leading trade shows, having generated over 150 of the biggest international design names to exhibit and 47,000 visitors across the weekend.
