Ideal Home Show at Christmas celebrates with 85,000 visitors at the final exhibition to be held at Earls Court

The Ideal Home Show at Christmas celebrated its final show at Earls Court with the honour of being the final exhibition to be held at the venue before closing to the public.

The award-winning festive home event, the Ideal Home Show at Christmas, sponsored by, welcomed a packed out crowd of 85,000 visitors through the doors of Earls Court its five day run this year – the final exhibition to take place at the iconic London venue. The show continues to be the biggest consumer home show at Christmas, with over 650 exhibitors offering thousands of unique products, a huge indoor Ice Rink and Christmas tree installation.

Rob Nathan, group marketing director for Media 10, who own the Ideal Home Show at Christmas, said:

"With a huge number of visitors attending again this year, and an incredible opening day full of celebrities and live expert demos, we hope all who came had a day out to remember. We are sure our five day run helped to put the British public in the festive mood and really give them some inspiration for gifts for this year's celebrations. A terrific final show for Earls Court, and an honour to be the final exhibition held here, before we return to our original roots at Olympia London next year."

2014's Christmas Show saw a host of celebrities on hand as 'Ideal' ambassadors for each section of the event to visitors. These included Suzi Perry, Gino D'Acampo , Olly Smith, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, and Lisa Faulkner. Gregg Wallace, also made a special appearance at his popular show Restaurant.

And as well as all of these famous faces there were plenty others that graced Earl's Court with their presence over the duration of the event. Amy Childs launched her new range of clothing, which was showcased on the Fashion & Beauty Catwalk sponsored by Lexus and greeted show visitors. Peter Andre visited the Show on Sunday to greet fans and sign autographs.

Other highlights of the show included -

• Christmas Ice Rink, sponsored by – The centrepiece of the exhibition was a spectacular ice rink to get visitors in the festive spirit and for the whole family to show off their moves! There was also a Bandstand, which featured a whole host of talent and musical genres to bring the best Christmas tunes whilst individuals skated.

• The Christmas Theatre – The main theatre hosted talks and workshops from a range of experts to advise on how to create the perfect homemade Christmas. The hourly sessions focussed on making Christmas cards, festive wreaths, decorations, table settings and much more!

• The Christmas Catwalk sponsored by Lexus – A round up of the latest trends and festive fashion, from the best Christmas party dresses, hair styles, and make up looks were demonstrated five times a day on the popular catwalk stage.

• The Christmas Food & Drink Theatre sponsored by Regina – This interactive theatre featured top celebrity chefs, including Gino D'Acampo, and drinks expert Olly Smith, giving handy hints and tips for Christmas culinary creations and festive tipples to match. With live cook along demonstrations, foodies were able to learn from the experts in how to cook up a storm in the kitchen this Christmas.

The Ideal Home show will be returning to Olympia London in 2015 for the Ideal Home Show, from 20th March to 6th April.
