|Ideal Home Show Scotland Delivers Scotland's Largest Consumer Event|
New Owners Media 10 have placed the Ideal Home Scotland firmly back on the map as the leading and finest home interest exhibition. The four-day event, held at the SECC Glasgow from 27th – 30th May 2011, wowed visitors with an exciting and inspiring show packed with things to see and do.
The event was hailed as a huge success by all, attracting visitor numbers in excess of 45,000, making it the biggest consumer show in Scotland by far. Record visitor and exhibitor attendance and set across 20,000 square metres, the Ideal Home Show Scotland followed a similar format to the revamped and award-winning London show.
The Scottish visitors were thrilled to see and hear from a whole host of celebrity ambassadors including Linda Barker, Greg Wallace, Diarmuid Gavin, Suzi Perry, Fiona Phillips and George Clarke and the ‘theatres’ were immensely popular each day.
In addition, fresh from its London Debut, the first ‘royal' house to feature at the show since 1935, the Prince’s Foundation show house proved incredibly popular throughout the show. Visitors to the house saw HRH The Prince of Wales' answer to eco-living - a low carbon home made from natural and recycled materials. In order to to reflect Scotland’s design heritage, key materials and interior products were supplied by Scottish producers and manufacturers.
Following the phenomenal success of the flagship London Show last year, Media 10 saw a huge appetite from exhibitors and visitors alike to bring this hugely popular show to Scotland. Retaining the integrity of the London show, the Ideal Home Show Scotland featured a series of industry firsts and UK product launches and provided a great day out for all.
Ideal Home Show Scotland will be back at the SECC in 2012 on May 24th-27th and promises to be even bigger and better than before.
