The privately owned business employs over 270 talented staff and is one of the leading players in the industry, running some of the most iconic and successful events, publications and digital content in the UK and abroad.
A growing portfolio of 30 live events means that 1 in every 55 people in the UK will attend one of Media 10’s shows, which cover subjects ranging from design, interiors, lifestyle and construction; distributed across events such as Grand Designs Live, Ideal Home Show, 100% Design, Clerkenwell Design Week, 100% Optical, Design London, Destination Star Trek, UK Construction Week and The Cake & Bake Show.
Furthermore, the company has seen international expansion with the widely successful venture into China with Design Shanghai; and South Africa with Design Joburg. The Group currently holds partnerships with Channel 4, Fremantle Media, ITV, The Performing Rights Society, CBS and Mothercare.
It is the acquisition of the Ideal Home Show that has been one of the most startling and impressive – it is widely recognised that Media 10 saved the Ideal Home Show in 2010 when the event was severely threatened. The show, which is the oldest exhibition in the world running for 109 years, was transformed and rejuvenated; it became multi-award winning, leading to an astonishing positive effect for the industry: now, the Ideal Home Show runs five times a year in the UK with the main event being complemented by Manchester, Scotland and two Christmas shows. 2017 will also see the show launched in China, the first overseas venture in the event's history.
Equally impressive is Media 10’s appointment as exclusive organisers of Her Majesty’s Coronation Festival. The unique one-off event was realised in partnership with the Royal Warrant Holders Association to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s Coronation. The first ever exhibition in the Gardens of Buckingham Palace and the first time the Royal Warrant holders have come together for an event of this scale, the Festival was a resounding success.
Although Media 10 have become specialists in the events sector, the company’s creative flare produces well established publications, owing a series of award winning magazines and websites.
The launch of Gurgle Magazine saw its ABC take a market leading position in the mother and baby sector. In addition, its portfolio of solid and reputable titles include Good Homes, Icon, Grand Designs, OnOffice, The Selfbuilder, The Clerkenwell Post and M, the music magazine published for the MCPS-ORS Alliance. The company currently holds a range of 39 websites and 13 publications.
