New owners Media 10 to host Scotland’s Ideal Home Show in May 2011

Making their long awaited debut in Scotland, Media 10 is delighted to announce they will be re-launching the Ideal Home Show Scotland. Taking place at the Scottish Exhibition & Conference Centre (SECC) Glasgow, Ideal Home Show Scotland will take place over four days from 27th to the 30th May 2011 and is set to restore the show as Scotland's biggest consumer home interest event.

Ideal Home Show Scotland will follow a similar format to the revamped and award-winning London show with 7 dedicated sections: Ideal Interiors, Ideal Home Improvements, Ideal Gardens, Ideal Shopping, Ideal Woman, Ideal Food and the Ideal Village. Exhibitors will include a mix of big brands as well as independent retailers from the surrounding regions to offer visitors a one-stop shopping experience with a Scottish flavour all under one roof. The show will bring with it the wow-factor with interactive features including celebrity appearances, inspirational room sets and trends, demonstration theatres, a live kitchen theatre, the Home of the Future and of course the iconic show homes.

This will be the inaugural Ideal Home Show Scotland under the new ownership of Media 10, who acquired the Ideal Home Show brand from DMG World Media in September 2009. 'Following the phenomenal success of the flagship London show at Earls Court earlier this year, which saw an increase in the visitor gate by 100,000 on previous year, we have seen a huge appetite from exhibitors and visitors alike to bring this hugely popular show to another part of the UK', says Lee Newton, Media 10's Managing Director. He adds, 'We will be taking our winning formula from the London show, taking our brand expertise and creativity, to host a prestigious and standout home event that will do Scotland proud. This will be the biggest home event of its kind in Scotland and we are looking to attract at least 40,000 visitors across the four day event'.

Ideal Home Show Scotland will take place at the SECC in Glasgow from 27th-30th May 2011.
