Media 10 inaugurate 2017 celebrating in-house talents.

There were much applause and cheer at the Media 10 headquarters in Essex in the first week of January.  Shaking off the dreaded winter blues, our office in London was buzzing with excitement and much anticipation preceding the Media 10 Staff Awards: an internal decorations event which rewards the talented movers and shakers within the company.

Opening the afternoon filled with laughter and expectation, CEO Lee Newton stated: “It’s been a busy year (at Media 10) and a hugely successful one. But I do want to reiterate that this is down to the abundance of talent we have. Each year, however, we take a closer look and listen to our staff; considering what they think about the people they work with. This is why we invite our employees to nominate for our Media 10 Staff Awards.”

The annual occasion is a unique opportunity for colleagues to recommend their peers for decorations in two categories: Excellence recognises the professionals that went above and beyond; those who made a significant positive impact on their teams, departments/products or the company as a whole by going that extra mile, working hard, being inspirational, offering a different view or attitude; and simply being brilliant. Rising Stars applies for those perceived by their colleagues to be progressing fast, set to be Media 10 leaders of the future.

Media 10 welcomed a fantastic number of nominations generating an extensive list of 77 individuals this year.  It was an incredibly difficult task for the judging panel to reduce that number to the limit of nine awards. To reach their final decision, the company directors looked at the vote numbers per nominee and whether these nominations came from their department only or from other areas of the business. Finally, each explanation given for the nominations was carefully considered.

The awarded professionals act in diverse areas of the business ranging from editorial to events, marketing, management, admin, sales, HR, features and IT. Despite the wide array of activities, these individuals demonstrated consistency, hard work, outstanding work ethics and a friendly manner at all times.

In addition to the trophy ‘wings to fly’, the winners will be treated to a luxury meal including a champagne reception, followed by a night out at a London hotspot.  They will join in celebration with leading sales talents, members of the Media 10 reward scheme 100% Club which offers generous tax free bonuses to top performers.

Media 10 CEO Lee Newton, who will host the group, closed his speech invitingly: “Congratulations everyone and thank you for the hard work. Let’s ignore the dry January rule and celebrate.”
