Celebrating spring with innovative interactive new features and the launch of Eat & Drink Festival.

 

The Ideal Home Show returned to London's Olympia with a fresh face and introducing even more exciting and interactive features. The 17-day extravaganza welcomed visitors from all over the country, with the record for the show's busiest ever day at Olympia being broken not once, but three times.

The spring edition of the show was co-located with the premier Eat & Drink Festival – a celebration of the latest trends in food and drink, artisan vendors and the UK’s first Rosé-only wine bar.

 Visitors flocked to the Ideal Home Show, which counts with giant Zoopla as headline sponsor, to enjoy the latest must-have products, a top line-up of celebrity experts and three full-size show homes including George Clarke’s Rotating House plus the 21st Century Cottage and the Property Ladder Apartments: both designed by young students from the Chichester College, in a pioneering initiative coordinated by Media 10’s appointed Creative Content Editor, Isobel McKenzie-Price. 

Still encouraging the future generations by providing them with a platform to bloom, Media 10 has hosted the 7th edition of the Young Gardener of the Year competition. Championed by TV gardener and presenter David Domoney, the initiative is linked with the Prince’s Foundation for Building Community to encourage more sustainable gardening techniques.  Welcoming the project, the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan commented: "This competition is a great opportunity for talented young people to use their 'green fingers' to design a garden thousands of visitors will enjoy, (…) In London, our much loved green spaces boost the environment, improve air quality and enhance our neighbourhoods(...)."

 Olympia was transformed into a paradise of home improvements, technology, kitchenware and beauty treatments alongside the mouth-watering aroma of fresh and extraordinary food and drink from the Eat & Drink Festival. Live entertainment echoed through the halls and, as ever, a line up of loved household names appeared across the show, including Katie Piper, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, Olly Smith, George Clarke, Martin Lewis, Clive Holland, First Dates' Fred Sirieix and the latest GBBO winner, Candice Brown. The Ideal Home Show celebrity ambassadors shared their expertise and entertained:  Media 10 even hosted speed-dating sessions with Lady Nadia Essex and Eden Blackman from Celebs Go Dating!
