|Grand Designs Live 2011 Triumphs at ExCeL with Record High Visitor Traffic|
Media 10, the owners of the Grand Designs Live exhibition are celebrating a record breaking 7th show at London's Excel Centre despite being faced with the challenge of competing against two consecutive bank holiday weekends and the Royal Wedding.
The live exhibition, based on the popular channel 4 TV series, continues to grow in consumer traffic year on year and on the final day of the 2011 show, Sunday 8th May, Media 10 recorded its single most successful day at the ExCeL since it changed to its nine day format in 2008.
The opening day of the show, which is hosted by TV's Kevin McCloud, followed a day after the Royal Wedding and saw queues spiral from the main entrance of the ExCel Centre in London's Docklands as far back as the Custom House DLR. Crowds continued to pour through the exhibition doors over the course of the 9 day event, giving an encouraging sign to the homes and property trade that consumer home spend is on the rise again.
Rob Nathan Group Marketing Director at Media 10 adds to this: "London is our flagship Grand Designs Live show and with figures growing from strength to strength each and every year, it proves the exhibition has firmly established itself as one of London's most anticipated consumer home events.
"Famous for its consistent wealth of new innovations, designs and ground breaking new concepts, this year's storming success is a testament to the quality of enticing exhibitors and products on show as well as the hard work, dedication and united efforts of our sales, marketing and PR team."
