ICONIC IDEAL HOME SHOW CHRISTMAS EVENT FILLED OLYMPIA WITH FESTIVE CHEER

The Ideal Home Show Christmas returned to Olympia London on 22nd – 26th November, with an impressive 31% YoY increase in visitors attending over a jam-packed 5-day event.

The 2023 edition saw a significant increase in visitor footfall, taking the total attendance to over 54,000 shoppers.

The UK’s best loved Christmas exhibition south of Santa’s Grotto, came back with everything festive fanatics could possibly have on their wish lists. From decorations, gifts, the latest interior designs, home improvements, Christmas pudding and festive fizz – the halls were decked with holly, choirs singing, panto and more than just a flying visit from Santa and his sleigh.

Rob Nathan, Marketing Director of Media10, said: “We’ve seen the events industry increase in demand as we have moved further from Covid and lockdown. Each year we are excited to welcome the visitors who flock to our events, and this increase we are seeing year on year is not only a testament to our visitors, but also to the support of our partners, sponsors, and exhibitors who make Ideal Home Show Christmas a ‘must attend’ festive calendar event.”

Ideal Home Show Christmas, with partners Good Homes, ITV Shop, ufurnish, Giftware Association, and Inside Food & Drink, saw 54,792 visitors attend. Each year Ideal Home Show Christmas attracts a variety of top tier sponsors from Makers & Son, HyrdoPool, Britelite, Easy Bathrooms, to YesColours, ProofVision, BergHoff, and Quooker. As well as high calibre sponsors, the exhibition also attracts more than 600 brands and industry experts and professionals offering advice and demonstrations to visitors, making it the most unique Christmas shopping experience.

The 2023 edition also welcomed the co-location of The Cake & Bake Show, a treat for baking enthusiasts. Baking fans congregated for the popular baking extravaganza, attending masterclasses, watching celebrity demonstrations, trying and buying delicious treats, and exploring all the newest baking accessories.

The Show welcomed numerous big-name celebrities from the baking world all crafting their treats and sharing their tips and tricks. Cake Artist Jane Lashbook impressed the masses with her spectacular life-size Santa – made of cake. Visitors were thrilled to meet many Great British Bake Off TV stars that also attended, as they enjoyed chatting, getting baking advice, and taking selfies with them.

A raft of famous faces joined us this year across both events, including former BBC and CBBC gardener, Lee Connelly aka the Skinny Jean Gardener; French pâtissier and celebrity chef, Eric Lanlard; professional baker, author, and TV personality, Juliet Sear; expert chocolatier Oli the Choc known for his appearances on Blue Peter and Channel 4s Steph’s Packed Lunch; highly decorated pastry chef, best known for her role as a formidable judge on Channel 4’s Bake Off: The Professionals, Cherish Finden; known from appearing on the 12th series of The Great British Bake Off, George Aristidou and Amanda Georgiou, plus many other household names.
